17 inches of total snow. One foot fell on Wed. with a bit here and there and the final snowfall was an additional 3 inches of snow on Friday. Lovely weather. Haha.

Wow, I can do it! I can do it!
For those of you wondering what that is, it is a 3" sphere made out of Black Agate that I picked up myself. Making spheres out of rock is my main hobby pastime along with collecting Fairburn Agates. I will probably getted kicked off of here for doing this. Hope not.

Hey, that's cool and you've got to do a lot worse things then that to get kicked off here. Oh yea, that's why they call the Hills the banana belt, but your weather is heading our way and starting tomorrow it's supposed to start getting nice. YAY for springtime!!!

Default sdgoldpanner and everyone

I made a mistake on the ground temprature around Hot Springs. The temperature in the springs remains a constant 73 degrees and the stream that runs thru Hot Springs maintains that temperature also. However if you get some distance away from the stream or the springs, the temperature of the ground where it is not frozen or baked is 65 degrees. Still considerably warmer than other parts of the world that far north, but not 73 degrees. Fwiw, at least one local meteoroligist believes that the temperate weather around Hot Springs is, at least in part, due to the warmer ground temperature.

Live & Learn,
uh

Chaulk. Actually it was the 7th parallel (can't spell for beans) wasn't it? Well, that's what was used to figure out where it would be, but I'm not sure how they marked it. Is that what your asking?

Yes, something physically marked/marks the border.

The Quartzite Border is seven-foot, 800-pound stone monuments placed every half-mile along the 360-mile border.
