Jammie,

Do you folks have Sonic drive-in restaurants? We have tons of them back east.

Lots of good memories as a kid at the drive in in Rapid! That's where I saw the Star Wars movies! And there was a great car hop called Snow White there, too. Had the best cherry coke ever!

Actually, it has two Sonics. The one that people are most familiar with is the one on Louise Ave. and 34th St. by Sportman's Warehouse and Home Depot. The other one is on East 10th St. west of Bahnson Ave. near the east 10th St. Hy-Vee and not too far from the K-Mart.

Speaking of Sonic, I should stop in and have a Java Chiller sometime.

Awwwwwwwwwwww. I haven't been able to find a Sonic anywhere in Western WA!

Wasn't there a drive-in theatre on the east side of Sioux Falls? I seem to remember it from the early 70's, when Wednesday was Buck Night and a whole car full of people got in for a dollar.

Default Drive-in theater in Mobridge, SD

The Pheasant Drive-in in Mobridge is still operating. Mobridge is 100 miles west of Aberdeen on Highway 12. See you there.

I remember when Sonic first opened up in SF, and the lines were so crazy... They actually had people directing traffic in the parking lot.

vkhmini, Chris might be able to answer that...

There is the nearly new Twin Drive in down at Hermosa. Two screens and each has a double feature. We haven't gone yet, there isn't a pair of movies that we like that play at the same time. They always have a line almost out to the highway.
