Some of you are probably aware that there are photography contests in that forum. I've rarely had the chance to visit there, but there are some amazing pics posted.
The forum is having a monthly contest and it'd be great if anyone would like to participate and show off pics of our beautiful state. There really are many people who've never visited here that don't realize that we have a lot of beauty here. SO, dig through your pics and feel free to post them.

What happened to the pictures thread with all the pictures of South Dakota?

I unstickied it so it reverted back in line in order of the last time someone posted on it. You're the second person who asked. 
If you guys would prefer to keep our "Pic" thread as our sticky, vote with a YES or NO right here, please.
One of the reasons I did it was because I myself had taken several of the photos out of my photobucket so there were no pics there~just blank squres. If I remember correctly, there were others, too.
Another reason was that several people weren't posting their pics in it and started threads posting their pics. I did take and post a link to those threads.
But the choice is up to you guys cause it's your state forum.

I wouldn't mind having it back as long as we keep it strictly a picture thread and verbal comments could be limited to DMs. I have to admit that it did get somewhat out of hand at times.

I'd like it stay, it was kind of nice having a thread that in my spare time I could look through, maybe create another sticky thread that was 'Pictures comments'? So we didn't clog up the thread.

If anybody has some extra time on their hands, could someone post a step-by-step on how to post a picture? I don't know why it's so hard for me to understand.  |

We sure can.
1. Get your post set up just like you're ready to post.
2. Go to photobucket and choose the pic you want to post.
3. Click on the bottom option below your pic~the last spot on there.
4. Just copy it~sometimes it gives me a hassle.
5. Come back here and paste it.
Try it and if it still doesn't work, we'll try to figure out why.

Agreed. When you click on a page in that thread expecting pictures and see a whole page of just comments, it's kind of a let down. But YES, I think it should be a sticky too. |
