It's still 40 degrees at 6:30pm here in Rapid City. I walked out of the grocery store and for the first time I didn't cough from the frigid air!

Today's almost balmy - lower 30's. After the last week, I'm tempted to "lay-out" for a suntan.HAHA.
I'm waiting for the next few days when they're calling for 37 degrees. I want every degree of that too - not 35 or 36--I want all of 37!!!

According to Kelo, we hit 38 degrees yesterday. According to Weather.com, we hit 39 so take your pick. I follow weather and often see inconsistencies. Just this week the weather channel and weather.com showed minus 11. The next day, weather.com said our low the previous day was minus 3. HMMMM, same site and everything.

But anyway, the radio did say something about 39 today, too. It was beautiful this morning, but of course the breeze came up again which kept the windchills down. It's sure making the bit of snow disappear fast though.

Got up to 56 in Rapid City today. Unfortunately that wind came up and made everything chilly. We can never have it both ways.

Black ice has been a big problem in Sioux Falls the past few days. I think the warmer weather during the day and the re-freezing during the evening is causing the slippery conditions.

But I do welcome the warmer weather!!

OH, it's great. KDLT said we had a high of 39 in Mitchell today.

I saw the problem with accidents over there because of the thawing and refreezing. It's definitely a time to slow down because there's bound to be black ice right now. That's scary stuff cause you don't even know it's slippery.
