Default Warm weather vs your cold weather

Here in North Florida we have been walking the dog late in the afternoons or early evening. We are doing this in shorts and sandals. I am not bragging. Even though this is very nice, we still want to move to South Dakota one of these days. Hope that happens.

Bragging!!
It's almost warm here right now, and we're really looking forward to the next week when we'll be in the 20's and 30's. My nephew just moved back here from Florida and is already sick of shoveling snow.

I envy you! I was surprised...there wasn't any frost on my car this morning when I went to work at 6:30 AM. But I still had to let my car warm up....I don't mind the temps, but once it gets below zero...AHH...especially if there is wind!

i used to live in diff parts of fl. now in spearfish sd and was in rapid city,sd. everyplace i have been has good and bad. it depends on what a person likes also. i used to eat a lot of gnats in fl...every time i opened my mouth during their season not bad tasting..kinda sweet...no way to keep from swallowing them as they go all way back in throat. i had lots of adventures there...some good memories. had a locksmith shop in jackson county...marianna...for many years. also lived in orlando area..tampa jacksonville . think ill stick with black hills now and travel some. not as many bugs here as in fl.

The weather is like a rollercoaster here. I see people walking their dogs on nice balmy days and even on frigid windy days. Today's high for Rapid City is 50 degrees and tomorrow it's 28 andwindy with flurries.

You guys are so lucky over there. It's days like this that I know the Hills REALLY is the banana belt. Right now it's 21 with a windchill of 9. Over there it's 58 and feels like 58.

Yes Jammie it's very pleasant here today. I even drove with the windows and the sunroof open until the melting snow sprayed into my car. I used a lot of washer fluid today!

Blizzard conditions today - how about you guys? Our high was 29 this morning, dropping from there. Pretty sick when your high for the day comes at 8am. Did you guys get this crappy weather in the hills before it got to us??
