HI DX, you just come on up and join us.
It's so ironic when I hear "The Sunshine State" and I know it's for Florida now. We also used to be called, "The Sunshine State" and it actually used to be on our state flag several years ago. We do get sunshine up here, but this time of year all it helps is our mood. Not much warmth to it right now. |

Ok - no sadness. It's a little scary out there, but we gots ta hold hands when we cross this river. THERE IS ANOTHER SIDE. We shall make it through this! It was this bad in 1948, 1981, and 1987. The main difference now is that we have the internet and CNN on 24/7 -- the media and some advertisers are having a field day. (Ignorance CAN be bliss...)
Hugh Downs, now that he is well into his 80's, said something on the order of "a little denial is a good thing sometimes." I know that I was personally not depressed in 1981 or 1987. I was too distracted by other things. So - we don't know where this is going, but I'd put money on it that all the pundits are wrong at some level. And some of this had to happen. It's a comeuppance for the dingbats running the country on both sides of the aisle.

I just went to another forum to see if it was a state I wanted to visit. And YIKES!!! The bashing and nasty comments! Good Heavens! Such unnecessary roughness. I agree, this is a very cool state forum. Friendly, helpful, just all around nice people. I'm really needing to get back up there.
