I got the new computer, my wife gets the hand me down.

we are in the first 2 hours of what will most likely be an 8 to 10 hour winter storm. I love the snow. I kept checking the web cam in Rapid City to see how much you guys got because this storm went over you all last night but the streets looked clear like you got nothing. It is supposed to be a doozie, 12" to 20" they say. Glad I don't have to shovel

Took a walk last night....nice and brisk and cold. Came back home...made a huge glass of hot chocolate. We've been sleeping better than we have in a long, long time. So very glad we made the move.

Hi there - thought I saw this post earlier - that's us!!! Really nice and high - great views - and very, very quiet. We have not lived in an apartment in many moons!!! However, until our house sells (which will be during the next 50 years if we can believe the realtors - which sadly, I do) or until we save enough to purchase land and build (which I honestly think will come first), we've got a really nice place here. Once all the running is done (finding a truck for hubby amongst the "list") and we can get off days together...we'll start scoping out land possibilities. Whenever it comes...I really believe it is going to be in the hills.

Well, that's it - I have about 100 scrubs to iron for this week. Have a great day everyone.

WINTER Poem

It's winter in South Dakota
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At thirty-five below.

Oh, how I love South Dakota
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave South Dakota
I'm frozen to the ground!
