R_Cowgirl that was so wonderful! We love our state. Jammie summed it up well. Even for someone from West River! (Seriously they wear their guns on their hips.) South Dakota has it all although we think it is a secret we should keep.
Really? Guns on their hips? Well try other locations... Not the hip for this west river guy.

Nicest thing about SD: the air! If you don't believe me, go to Huron and read the plaque on the state fairgrounds: "Where East meets West," that explains how the humid 'farm' air changes to the semi-arid ranch air, West of the James river. Additionally, SD is a dual time zone state (like ND, NE etc), which adds to this phenomena. So it's not the StL. arch or the rockies, but SD where the West starts, and that's what most Westerners/South Dakotans love (along with the wide open spaces)!
