Pammy, thank you and Faulkton, I think you're right.

The explosion they had a week ago on the east side of town made them discover they had something old in the pipes. I don't know what, but they're now made of a better material to stop things like this from happening. But it appears that a lot of the city has the old stuff in it. They were STILL working up on main street this morning when my DH was trying to go uptown so it's a bit scary. Then there were two city workers down on my corner and I was a bit tense to say the least.

I watched and it turned out they were only repairing a bit of the road. It's the natural gas lines because that's what most of us use for heating. Hopefully they'll get all of it changed before someone really does get killed.
