Well I broke down yesterday and got 4 of the 16 Batteries I will be using for my Solar/Battery Powered setup. SIck and tired of giving up 100 a month if not more to the lectricity company. I'll be using 12 Volt Halogen Lights throughout the house and that should eliminate quite a bit off the electric bill. Figure one less bill to pay is one less bill to pay, may not eliminate it all together until the battery bank is fully set up and the solar panels get here next week but what the heck.

The wealthiest (and poorest) places in the United States - Aug. 28, 2007
I just wanted to share this with all of you. I'm borrowing the link from Howest on the OK forum~Tulsa sub-forum to be exact.
How refreshing to see that we're not at the bottom of the list. Things have been improving for our state.

National unemployment has now risen to 10.2% It is good to hear that the Plains states have not been as severely impacted.
Omaha, Des Moines, Sioux Falls, and Rochester metros look fairly stable compared to many other areas.

I saw that today. Isn't it amazing? I figured it'd top out at 10% and then start slowly coming back again.
I didn't go through the entire story yet, but both Dakotas and Nebraska are kind of hanging in there. Let's hope it continues at least in a few states.
But duh to me!!! I just realized that article is over a year old. I wonder how much things have changed in a few of the areas.

Interesting the manager was an instructor when I was in collage years ago.
Good deal.

Well, unfortunately our state just went from 4.8% unemployment back up to 5%. My guess is that it's more of a seasonal thing then slipping backward. That is the Oct. report and in Oct., 2008 our unemployment rate was 3.2%.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find the Oct. stats with cities listed separately.
