Minus 20??? There will be nights that you'll wish it'd warm UP to minus 20.

stockwiz is on a distinguished road
well after a few days having my apartment warm up in the summer I do appreciate the cold weather! I don't know if I could handle someplace like florida where it's hot, humid, with no wind for so long a period of time. Somewhere dry and windy, like scottsbluff, nebraska, or rapid city, on the other hand, I think I could do that!

OK, I'm just glad to hear you're alright. We saw the tornado warning that was around your area.

It's pouring down here, but so far no hail and no strong winds.

As a future South Dakotan, It's always interesting to read about the weather there. Stockwiz, you mentioned coming from eastern Wisconsin. I was born and raised there - spent 56 of my 70+ years there. Where are you from? Also, I read about the lack of Spring and fall in Rapid City. My experiences in various cities is that is the norm. True?

I think it depends on where you're at. The South and the East Coast definitely gets all four seasons but out here we get long summers and long winters with brief springs and falls in between.

I saw the Tornado and Thunderstorm warnings too for your (Jammie & Debey) areas.

I don't even think it rained here. I saw the dark clouds to the west, but everything fizzled out once the sun went down.

4 hours, and we have power back. How wide spread the outtage was, I am not sure.........(gotta love Xcel Energy.
We, of course, gassed up the generator, plugged in dishnetwork's receiver & watched Ice Road Trucker, and a few more hours, of tv. LOL.
