Here's a link to local radar @ KELO. There are other places, but this one is the one I've always used......

update: the wind snapped our flagpole, yesterday. We also lost a tree, on the property. (The tree that provided most of the shade, for the swing set)

It looks and feels like something could happen here.

Looks like we are in a tornado watch
National Weather Service Watch Warning Advisory Summary

Further looking indicated Thuderstorm warning to the north of Pierre. Yee haw. Wonder if its going to do its normal pass to the north of town bit like it always seems to do.

That it is. Bit of a shower now, sitting in a parking lot thinking about heading in.

You can also get local weather/radar at www.kevn.com or www.kotatv.com but I prefer www.keloland.com . www.noaa.com has great info for any part of the USA with more info available - like how high the local creeks/rivers are running among other 'stuff'.

I've never gone to the site www.accuweather.com on line but I have it on my cell and it is great. Can get up to the minute reports/radar for anywhere.

I have a weather alert radio, as well. It is "faster" at announcing warnings, than Keloland (via dishnetwork)by about a minute....also.. durring periods of heavy rain, dishnetwork, or rather our satilitte looses signal.
