Rain in the southeastern part of the state. Fortunately, the snow in the Hills isn't supposed to be snow anymore when it gets here.

Danny, you got out of there in time. I think this is the second snowfall, isn't it? AND have you checked out the temps in the Hills? OMG, it's cooler then over here by at least 10 degrees. You planned this out right.

About six inches on my picnic table and car this morning (in Lead) - a little less on the ground of course - there was still some left on Saturday from the previous snow - at least not much wind - bent over trees have knocked out power in a few areas.

I just checked the computer models and it looks like another winter blast is coming down the Northern Rockies and over into the Black Hills. Temps should be running between 10-25F below average over the next week or so. I have already stockpiled some firewood as I think it will be a cold winter east of the Rockies.

Most trees are still green and leaves are just now starting to change. We definitely get autumn up here in The Cities. I talked to my mom today and she said it didn't really snow in Rapid City, but when she was out-and-about she saw some Deadwood-Spearfish-Lawrence County cars with snowpack on them. I'm sure it will melt off right away though and you'll be at 75 by Halloween!

The central hills received more snow that normal for the early October snows. It is not uncommon for northern hills to have an October snow.

You're right. Kelo said that there is another storm heading for the Hills. AND it's even worse then you think. TWC just said that the Arctic blast will put a huge area 25 to 35 below average. My area is included, of course. In fact, it covers about a third of the country. I won't even say anything cause I think everyone knows how I feel about that.

We are having our own crazy weather here. We had a cool summer followed by an early fall. We had a record low of 35 degrees F the other night. Remember I live in sunny California :-)

Yes, but it's only for a couple days, and we will be headed back up toward 60!

Very true. We should still get Indian Summer yet before winter totally hits.
