MY family is moving to rapid city in 2 months. my wifes job is transfering her here. but now I need to find a new job as a heavy equipment operator and my son wants to know if the high school has a jrotc program.please help me here .thanks airboatbill

Yes, all three high schools have JROTC. Stevens, Central, and Douglas are the high schools. For heavy equipment try Pete Lien and Sons, Biersbach Equipment, or any other industrial company. Rapid City has a lot of industrial companies. Congrats on the move!

It's easy to find an apartment to rent in Rapid City, but it's difficult to find them online. Some that I suggest are Corral Park, Carrige Green, Stoney Creek Highlands, Harmony Heights, and Bridgewood Estates. You can easily find these apartments in the Yellow Pages.

Rapid City has a lot of special education programs and I'm pretty sure they do a good job with special needs children. I can't speak from a public school perspective though because I went to private school.

Rapid City has a lot of grocery stores spread throughout town. We have 4 Family Thrift Centers, 2 Safeways, WalMart SuperCenter, and Don's Valley Market. Target has some groceries too but not a deli or bakery.
