gosh, Jen there is a TON around here.
There is soccer in the spring and fall. And in the winter indoor.
There are 3 outdoor swimming pools and 1 indoor plus the ymca. You can take swimming lessons year round at the indoor and at the Y. I always have my kids do lessons in the Jan/Feb session at the indoor (swim center) because it gives them something to do in the most boring months of the year, something to do in warmth, and it's not as busy.
We have softball leagues in the summer, football in the fall for kids as young as 5 or 6 (flag for the youngest).
The parks and rec's has classes all summer long. Everything ranging from art class, to track camp, all outdoor activities at the many parks around town. The classes can be 2 weeks long Mon-Thur or just 3 days and done. There are many options. I enrolled my son in a flag football camp to see if he'd be interested, then I would have signed him up for flag football that began in Sept. But he ended up not liking it.
There's ballet studios all over town, Just Jymnastics that has a great indoor gymnastics teaching center. You can do just summer or year round.
There are many karate/jujitsu, etc businesses around town. There's a great jujitsu class at the swim center that's only $35 a month for 3 one hour classes a week. Several of my daughters friends are in it.
I know I'll think of more, but I'll end this post for now while I come up with them
