Well, the interview is done for Belle - I think it went well, and I think it would be a good fit for them and for me! I hope I am offered the position, but it may be the end of the month before I know anything more! Patience/waiting...definitely not my strongest point!!!

Now, one more hour until interview number two!

Whew! Done for now, but the second one might require a face-to-face interview in Casper...we will see how I do!

The first job I interviewed for was a Bureau of Land Management position in Belle Fourche. Pretty much an office manager job. The second is with the Office of Surface Mining in Casper, WY. It's for a reclamation specialist (inspector, basically). Either one would be good opportunities! Now I have to play the waiting game while they finish interviews and decide.

no8fann, I'm still waiting to be scheduled (okay, rescheduled) for a phone interview with a company in Sioux Falls, so I know how you feel. Hope you get one of the jobs you're interviewing for.

By the way, I'm in Kentucky, which is like Indiana in many respects and I'm ready to get out!

So, when they asked you what you felt were the weakest points of your present employer, did you tell them~"His weakest point is that he has a business in Ind. instead of So. Dak. where I want to be?"

JMC, good luck with your interview, too.

Actually, they never asked me what I didn't like! The job in SD is very much like what I do here, so I hope I am offered that one!

I hope you get the job in Belle Fourche. I did a comparison of Belle Fourche and Casper from another website's statistics and found the air and water quality, housing costs and cost of living in general is less in BF. Plus, it is a smaller town, and although Wyoming is a great state with lower property taxes, you need to be where your heart is! Best wishes.

Well, it seems the Casper folks liked me well enough to offer me interview #2. That means I will most likely be flying out on Thursday for a Friday interview. Whew! That was a lot faster than I expected! I have to call SD tomorrow, just in case they are planning to offer me something better - I would hate to waste Casper's time and money if I am going to be able to take the job in SD. I just have to see who the highest bidder will be, I guess!
