Childcare
Hey everyone! My name is Krista. I've had an account here for a little but this would be my first post. My family and I have just moved here from Germany (air force). I'm looking to do some childcare out of my home and I'm having trouble getting the word out. I tried craigslist....nothing but scams there :-( So I thought I might give it a shot here. I'm a stay at home mother of 2. We have a lovely yard and a great big play room. Is anyone looking for weekday child care or can give me advice on the best way to get the word out here?

Try putting an ad in the Rapid City Journal or the Rapid City Weekly News Bulletin. You'll get some calls.  |

Thanks! I just put an ad for the weekly and I've tried posting an ad online with the journal and it makes me do it through yahool joblistings so I guess I need to actually call the newspaper.

I see childcare ads on there all the time! |

Rapid City does have a local childcare directory that is published quarterly I think - call the Department of Social Services for information...
You could also put adds up on the grocery store bullitin boards - also possibly contact Kid's Closet - they are a seond hand consinment kids store - they have a bullitin board as well.

Thanks everyone! You're being so helpful! Busysocialworker, I tried calling Social Services but no one answered and I left a message and no one has called me back.I guess they have better stuff to do then listen to me LOL
