I hear ya there, but if they are going to bother reporting specifics in one area it would be nice (since they are trained/educated professionals) for them to use their expertise and mention that just 12-15 miles away that the weather will likely be much different - or if they don't know how to read it then don't bother at all. Besides people dig stories about extreme weather, so avoiding the more extreme area while mentioning the lower elevations just a few miles away seems silly.. Flatlanders too funny I shouldn't laugh I lived in Brookings for 5 years. My relatives that live their call me a hillbilly.

THEY ALL SUCK. I don't like any of them, except if I had to choose, it of course it would be KSFY.

I wouldn't go that far... Sioux Falls isn't a big city, so you can't expect news stations that can compete with those in large metros.
KSFY has had some issues with cameras... A few times when they are interviewing people right on the set, I've seen a camera come into view...
I do like how KSFY are very on top of the breaking news.
I just watched KSFY at 5:00 today, and a large chunk of it was national news. That disappoints me.

Keloland tv
Does anyone remember Keloland Al Adel's decades long signoff comment "Rest Easy"?
How did the producers of that news show allow such an inane comment to be said night after night for decades? After CBS told Cronkite to cut the "That's the way it is" drivel, I thought Kelo would correct their crap signoff.
Just once you'd think Adel would have mixed it up and said something like "rest hard if you're lucky" --or at least attempt some acknowledgement to the fact most of his viewers were under the sheets suffering the long winter.

Was the issue with cameras today? I know that we ended up going to a camera early as they were focusing it on Brian and Phil. Tonight they did some national and some local, however right at the end is when they started talking about the Casino Robberies search warrant just east of Downtown and the severe thunderstorm warning near Pierre.
I personally think Sioux City has three great news stations for a small market. They just don't have the one major leader and the two weaker stations. Yes SC has four, but KMEG does KPTH.

It wasn't today. It was when an anchor was interviewing a candidate for the 2010 SD governor. I can't remember the other time it happened, but it was corrected quickly. It was on the right side of the set. Not to be picky/complaining, but I've never seen this on KELO.
I don't think Sioux Falls has one major leader. KSFY and KELO are both leaders.
The KSFY website needs a huge overhaul. It looks like someone like me created it... Nothing looks professional at all. I took a web page class in high school with emphasis on HTML. I've taken multiple courses in college dealing with web page development (HTML, XML, Flash, Java) ... Enough said.
I have to agree with you about Sioux City. KMEG, KTIV, and KCAU seem like great stations. Once in a while, I'll check in at KMEG or KTIV, as both include news in Vermillion/Yankton/Elk Point/North Sioux City/Dakota Dunes.
