Default Aberdeen is flooding (again)

Not nearly as bad as a couple of years ago, but there is pretty deep water already in some places that usually stay pretty dry. No travel is advised.

OH my!!!! We had some tornado warnings for quite a while here, but they've moved south. They also predicted large hail, strong winds, etc. We were VERY fortunate and only had a nice, hard rain.

Jammie, if there was a way to merge this thread with the one I just created... I didn't even notice this one...

I had the day off, so I was watching the storms in central SD.... There was a cell that just sat over SE Brown County for hours with intense rains. It dumped inches upon inches. I wonder how SE Brown County is doing...

No worries, MJ. I deleted it and we'll go with this thread. I hope that's ok.

Rain Causes Flooding Problems | KSFY.com - Your Source for News, Sports, and Weather - Sioux Falls, South Dakota 57104 | Local News

Just a small story about a business in Aberdeen that got flooding and some other flooding. KSFY did some pretty great coverage of all these storms. Even though I'm in Sioux Falls I still watched part of this afternoon and tonight with all the tornados that ranged down to Yankton. (I guess i shouldn't say all the tornados, some of them didnt hit ground). Very interesting stuff you guys had, in a weird way I wish it would have hit Sioux Falls, just the heavy rain, not all the tornados.

fsd, KSFY did excellent coverage... I had the day off, and both KSFY & KELO were doing their weather coverage.... As long as a tornado warning was out, they were on-air. I switched between the 2 quite a bit...

Menno was hit with probably straight line winds?... It wasn't a tornado, but the damage was excessive.
