Default Stupid plant question - help!

Okay, I should know this, but I can't find it anywhere, and I know someone out there will probably answer in fairly short order...what's the yellow-flowering plant that grows EVERYwhere here? Typically about knee-high, and grows all along I-90 and pretty much anywhere there is open land. (Yeah, and I was a botany minor...).

Blonde... Its more than a color of hair, its an absence of mind

The picture look like the plant you are inquiring about? the smell is amazing. Cutting clover, that reminds me of the first summer I spent haying. Cut several tons of clover. Would have to shut down to replace a sickle section would get stung by tiny little sweat beas.

Yes, very long day, hence explaining the blonde moment...25 more minutes!

Those are gorgeous, Debey! Thank some passing bird for dropping a gift in your weedpatch!

While it is called "sweet clover" it is not a clover - it is a legume.

It's turkey "cover", here. I had 14 frying pan size poults, on the patio, again this morning.
