rjl78, that is some very high priced fuel. The stations around Sioux Falls raised their prices to $2.29 a gallon (which is still reasonable). I remember than in the past, when visiting Pierre and living there a few years ago, that Pierre was almost always higher than Sioux Falls and many other places in the eastern third of the state.

Today I made a point to look at the convenience stores when I drove by. Our gas is 2.44 and 2.54 so it's higher then in a lot of areas. Imagine that. For some reason or other, it usually is.

I'm thankful to pay around $2.50 or so - where we were in Indiana, there were only a few places higher in the country! When we left, it was hovering around $3.

Well what I can't figure out is Crude (according to bloombergs site) is still at under 70 bucks a barrel, Why the hell is Gas at over 2 bucks a damn gallon, SHOULD be alot lower with the price of crude the way it is. Damn Greed is all it is, pure and simple greed, has nothing to do with supply and demand bogus reasoning, its all about greed.

I agree and it seems as though there is lack of a rhyme and reason to gas prices. The oil companies like to play games and did it very well since 2000, especially in the 2005-2008 time frame.

Grrrr, gas went up a dime in Sioux Falls to $2.39/gallon. I liked it around the $2.25 area and wished it would stay in that area for awhile.

I wish Pierre would charge $2.39. Less would be better. Heading to Rapid tomorrow, this should be interesting.

dallard is on a distinguished road
I live in Sturgis. I hate the way the stores are all empty throughout the year. Do they make out of state vendors pay higher taxes? They should The tax rate is high here because our businesses are not running all year. (I think). Anyhow, the little bar on main street has the best Karaoke during the rally. You never know who will step up to the mic. The singing is fabulous. I really enjoyed it last year. Sat there for several hours. You can sure tell when an amateur steps up. I'm looking forward to stopping by there to have another listen. I wish I was better with knowing my bands. I might then recognize someone.
