As a retired reporter I have been to traffic accidents, not many as I live in a small town, but I do remember one accident well. If I remember right, everyone in the vehicle was killed except the baby. The baby was in a car seat and thrown from the vehicle. Other than a few minor scratches and bruises the baby was fine.

Car seats you bet! Every parent should be responsible for the life of their child and using car seats is the responsible thing to do as they SAVE lives.

And just for the record - they go in the BACK seat! I saw one yesterday - two adults and a rear facing car seat in the front seat!

Scary scary scary! Why are some parents so ignorant - or do they just not care? Keep your cell phone handy and make a call I do!

Another thing I hate to see is a bunch of adults "hotboxing" their car with cigarette smoke while their kid sits helplessly in the back seat. Sure, the parents have a right to smoke in the car all they want, but who speaks for the child?
