Default Wedding spots

Hey. I'm getting married in August of 2010. I need to know if anyone knows any pretty places to have a wedding ceremony, and can seat 100-150 people. Thanks so much everyone!

Default Inside or Outside?

I have seen outdoor weddings at Bear Butte and Roughlock Falls---but not sure if you want to be outside in August or during Rally season for that matter! I went to a wedding at the Holiday Inn in Spearfish and it was very nice or what about Latchstring in Spearfish Canyon--that's indoors but near Roughlock Falls?

Pam

We played for someone in which the ceremony was behind Spearfish Canyon Lodge on September 30, out by a little creek. Very nice.

Corbett are you referring to the Black Hills? I'll assume so and agree with ElkHunter. Chapel in the Hills (Stavkirke) is a really pretty and popular place to get married. My cousin had her wedding there and it was really nice. Another popular place is Bridal Veil Falls in Spearfish Canyon.

I'd vote Sylvan Lake, I used to work there and they have a big exhibit hall as well as a nice rock overlooking the lake you can get married at, but as people if said, if its in August, I recommend almost the end of August because the rally takes up the first two or three weeks....

Wickiup Village Cabin Camp just past Cheyenne Crossing as you're leaving Lead isn't bad. I shot this wedding there in 2005. As you might guess, they were avid fly fishermen. The meal was catered by someone else.

I also shot a wedding at that "resort" in Spearfish Canyon. I'd guess they had 150 guests, and they did a great job with it -- a two-day affair.

My sister got married there last June and it was pretty awesome. She had the ceremony and reception there. They have a bunch of cool cabins that you can rent out so you don't have to make the trip down that windy road after a few drinks!

I also vote for Chapel in the Hills although there are many scenic places. The problem is the seating/catering isn't available at some of the other gorgeous places.

Wyo, that's a very pretty pic.
