Default History of executions in SD.

I stumbled across this today and found it interesting. Only one since 1947, and just two since 1913. But there were a lot of hangings in the early days.

And we must have a few people on death row, but I don't recall who they are.

EXECUTIONS IN SOUTH DAKOTA SINCE 1877

Edit - Stumbled across this elsewhere:

There are two inmates currently sentenced to death in South Dakota:
Donald Moeller, Lincoln County, for murder; and
Charles Rhines, Pennington County, for murder;

I'm against the death penalty/capital punishment in all of its forms, but I was surprised to see that Robert Leroy Anderson wasn't on the death row list.

out here we take it a notch further, punishment is perceived as evil, we dont do punishment at all.
there are no criminals in san bruno jail, no rapist no murderers, just victims of an unjust system.

So you've gotta wonder what thy're doing in prison, don't you?

Yea, I remember that Robert LeRoy Anderson commited suicide. Didn't his Dad or his bro also do the same? He came from a pretty rough family and jail wasn't unfamiliar to them.

They had housed him here in Mitchell before the trial. I guess he was quite a scary guy. He was obviously a sociopath.
