My father Dale was raised in Wood. He and his brother Clare were adopted by Frank Selden Richardson and his wife Vinnie in 1913, and lived in Wood. My father left sometime in the early '20's but visited often. His brother Clare remained there to run the family business "Richardson and Sons" unti he died in 1955. Clare's son remembers Wood well, and and has told me stories about Wood. I also vaguely remember the town from when when my father took me there in 1956. I will forward your question to my cousin to see if he remembers the pool hall, and let you know.

I am looking for any information I can get about the town, as well, and wonder if you know what the name of the local newspaper is/was?
