South Dakota has always done well on that type of survey. It is great place to own a business.

That is fabulous, isn't it? Thank you for sharing it with us.

There was recently a new story saying that over 300 companies were looking at So. Dak. to relocate to because of our friendly tax climate. It was a record-breaking number so all we can do is hope that many choose us.

Good for you guys!

Noticing with Colorado coming in at number 8 how 6 of the other 8 states are from the western part of the country (I consider S.D. kind of west, anyway!)

No doubt the last few years of "Tax Friendly" status has really helped and now it's starting to show. Good job.

I am, however, surprised that Wyoming come in 4th. We've had so many layoffs and shut downs of the energy industry that it is surprising that we're still holding ground.

Wyoming is kinda taking a hit right now. Methane bed recovery seems to be having the most difficult time.

No state income tax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our state also seems to be great in offering insentives to "new business" relocating to South Dakota even to the point of favoring them over people who are already here.

We spend thousands for instance in bringing Europeans here to entice them to open large dairies, but really spend nothing to encourage our existing small farmers to hang in there or expand.

We have people that are willing to work and compared to most of the country, are willing to work for peanuts for the privilege of living out here.
