Back here in Cleveland visiting family I'm getting inundated with "Happy Holidays," which is fine, ok, but I noticed all the "Merry Christmases" back in Sioux Falls.

So to all of you good people - Merry Christmas to you all. May the New Year bring us all many blessings and peace.

By the way, the helicopters never flew from Strawbale Winery on account of weather so I never got to propose in the air above Sioux Falls.

So it happens in a few hours on Christmas Eve over some nice French champagne and Frango mints. Not a bad fallback plan but I can't help but wish we were in Sioux Falls watching the snow by the fire. Oh well.

Thanks to many of you on this forum for making it possible for me to spend my first Christmass in the Dakotas! (I'm out in Killdeer, ND right now, working in the oilfield, but should be back in Rapid in a couple days.) The advice of many people here regarding where to live in SD, good hunting areas, ice fishing, historical places, etc have helped me greatly in my move here. Thanks to all and Merry Christmass!

By the way, not to get off topic, but where are you from eiafjam? I happened to graduate from Western Carolina University in 2000. If you want to go west, the Black Hills region would be an excellent choice!
