Greetings, everyone!

My family moved to Yankton a little while ago. I have a child who will be going to kindergarten in the fall. (How fast time flies. Arg!)

I'd like to know which elementary schools in town you folks have experience with, or where you'd send your kids. I know about the open enrollment, so any information you could provide about the schools here in town, the good and the bad, is welcome!!

Thank you!!

No opinions out there, eh?

No worries. We love Yankton very much and are very happy here. I'm sure I can find info talking to more of the locals.

The only one from Yankton that ever post usually gets himself banned. That fool who thinks the judges are corrupt or something stupid like that. At any rate a window licker. Fortunately he the exception more than the rule for the community.

Well, that's too bad. Maybe someone from Yankton someday soon will log on and notice this post.

And yeah, window lickers seem to be everywhere where there are windows to be licked. Yankton has been nothing but great to us since we've been here, so the good is outweighing the bad, so far.

Thanks for the replies.

My Kids go to Lincoln school and it is a great place for them to learn. I would maybe think long and hard about sending your child to Webster, not because of the teachers there, but because of the other students.
If you have open enrollment, I would def. suggest Lincoln school.
Hope that helps.

Hey there! Another Yankton person!

We live in an unassigned area and my daughter got assigned to Beadle. I haven't heard much about it, but the teacher who helped screen her works there and she seemed like a lovely lady. I guess we'll find out the good and the bad when she starts in August!

Thank you for the reply!

Beadle is a very good school.
I know all of the kindergarten teachers there, and although I don't want to post their names on the inter-webs, I can tell you that they are all excellent teachers.
Good choice and have a fun school year! (it's coming soon....yikes!)
