Private Company To Send It's Rover To The Moon In 2013
I was just reading this on Discover magazine about a company (Astrobotic Technology) that will send it's rover to the moon in 2013 to explore and do experiments etc. It will also visit the old Apollo 11 site and inspect the leftover lunar craft as this ought to put to rest the ''Moon landings were a hoax'' rumor's that some still believe.

I love where this is going with the private companies doing the space travel stuff.
One reason. There have been reports of astronauts seeing UFO and other strange stuff up there but no real evidence because I am sure the government squashes it.
If a private company gets some sort of evidence, they could probably pay for the whole operation just by selling the evidence.

The movie rights and book rights would be worth a small fortune.

I'd love for this outfit to find the remains of any of the American landings...
Then I'd like to see a special from one of the networks re-interviewing all the "experts" who said these landings were physically impossible and that the American government lied about the landings...

I suggest you go and eat some grass in the field with the rest of the sheep, if you think the government would not suppress evidence of UFO sightings.
I am a sheep.

I'd like to continue chatting about government/intellectual conspiracies and UFO's with one as intelligent and knowledgeable as yourself except it's off topic and C-D already has 66 threads on this topic...

What ever happened to Falcon 1 thru 8?? Maybe the red rover can re-plant the American flag, which fell over when they took off!

The company has had a total of only 2 successful launches so far and the payload it will try to send and land on the Moon will be about 240 pounds(tops). IF the Space X company continues to keep on schedule AND every mission is a success....IMHO...they may achieve their goal; but I think it will be 2015 or later and that's with lots of luck.
They still have a long way to go and have not even managed to resupply the International Space Station yet. Sounds like they are putting the cart before the horse.....Time will tell. But it's a step in the right direction for a private company just entering into space. .
