And another poster mentioned radiation as a threat to human life as far as I know there is no real threat to life.

But it is the disruption of electrical power transmission(possibly for months or years).......data loss....fried computers, etcetera that may devastate modern society.

You have a point...older technologies should not be affected.....printed pictures would be unaffected.
