There's a pretty bright start, now -- though maybe it could be a planet.

The geomagnetic field was quiet to major storm on January 24. Solar wind speed ranged between 347 and 732 km/s. A strong solar wind shock was observed at SOHO at 14:34 UTC, the arrival of the CMEs observed early on January 23. The geomagnetic disturbance peaked 17-20h UTC when the planetary A index reached 80. The radiation storm peaked at the arrival of the CMEs with the above 10 MeV proton flux reaching a high of 6310 pfu, the strongest radiation event since 2003.

So, I wonder if this was the same thing that caused the apparent brightening of Venus.

I wonder how many times people thought they saw a UFO and instead it was Venus....

"You did not see a UFO, what you saw was swamp gas reflecting the light from Venus." Anyone else get the sudden urge to go rent Men in Black?

Given the fact we only know the most basic information on the Venusian atmosphere , there could possibly be an unknown reaction with the carbon dioxide/sulphuric acid that energizes the molecules , resulting in the brightening. Maybe crossreferencing past CME's with images of Venus at that time may point to the answer.

Then again , it could have been Nibiru , or an ultrasecret weapon designed to bring about the NWO.

Actually, thanks to ESA's Venus Express, we know quite a lot about the atmosphere of Venus.
