I thought that this would be kinda cool to post on here as this is a HD version of the view and sound of the Space Shuttle launching for those interested. Awesome view and sound when the boosters blast off of it.

(Note: It sounds even better to listen too by putting on computer stereo headphones if you have them).

If you read the credits, the sound was enhanced by George Lucas's Skywalker Sound. Still fun to watch, but quite a bit noisier than any of this would be in real life.

Also worth noting, if you're into authenticity, is the fact that this footage was compiled from 2 different shuttle missions.
