Govt has lots of things that are classified, in other words, they decided the public should not know about these things. That is not very hard to understand.

That I agree with. And I also agree that many of these things we probably should be aware of. However, that's not the issue.

There seems to be a trend in this forum for people to post pseudo-science claims from pseudo-scientists with no background or credibility. This is the SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY forum, not the SPECULATION AND DELUSION forum. If you're going to post some statement, back it up with credible facts. And not from people who with a quick google search clearly are just conspiracy theorists without any sense of reality.

With respect to the Apollo landings there is so much third-party verified information about the trip to the moon and the landing / landing sites that it's ridiculous to speculate otherwise. Unless the whole world is part of a global conspiracy in which case put on your tinfoil hat.

Did NASA doctor all the lunar images? No, and they didn't doctor any of them.

Ken Johnston was never an astronaut. He applied and was turned down because he lacked academic credentials. Anybody can "apply". I know quite a few people who were highly qualified and were not accepted.

The OP has a total of two posts. This person is most likely one of the "aliens are here/the government is hiding everything from us" who created a new username to troll.

there is no way this piece of shiiit went to the moon. so you really thing this crap was engineered by and assemble by scientist or anyone with a degree on architecture, who built that thing. if you get a group of high school graduates to build a lunar module that’s probably what you will get. I don’t want to insult anybody but anyone who think that that piece of shiit went to the moon or you are dumb or just deeply brainwashed.

Go talk to an old Grumman engineer who built it at Bethpage Long Island. There are likely hundreds still living today.

The LEM was at the cutting edge of engineering and lightweight materials for the day. In fact the reason Apollo 8 went around the moon instead of doing an orbital test with the LEM was it wasn’t ready. They had all sorts of weight problems that needed to be resolved.

Have you ever seen one up close? I have. It’s not cardboard or “gold glitter”.

And then learn about its mission and what it had to accomplish. It was a single use vehicle designed to land on an airless surface with 1/6 the gravity of Earth. And then take off again. Once.

Again, this is a science and technology forum. If you dispute it, bring credible proof to the contrary vs hearsay and hyperbole from discredited naysayers.

Until then, do some reading. There is so much published info out there about the engineering, construction and operation of the LEM.

You're right, the LM wasn't built by someone with a degree in architecture. Turned out that engineers were the better choice. Good decision, there.

Ok, so it was a different town, same thing applies though, classified details STILL exist to this day about whatever happened....what could they possibly think is dangerous about the public knowing these things, especially this many decades after?

Its also quite impressive they have managed to maintain these classified secrets for so long, consider how many people have come and gone from these agencies since then...and yet NONE of these details were ever leaked!!! WOW!
