An lludium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator?

Short of a brane collision (that we could never become aware of) they have to wait to die of Hawking radiation -which takes longer than a car trip from New York to Los Angeles on back roads in a 1957 station wagon with four toddlers in the back.

A black hole cannot collapse.

The event horizon does not denote the volume of a black hole. Black holes have no volume. They are infinitely dense singularities. Collapse is not only impossible, it is mathematically inconceivable.

Gamma rays just get absorbed by black holes, after being heavily red shifted. Destabilizing a black hole would require some new physics of which we aren't currently aware.
