Here's a link to the story. But I wouldn't count on human teleportation any time soon.

It makes me feel completely ill equipped to understand our universe when I read this type of stuff. I remember reading this book when younger and becoming filled with despair after reading chapter 3 I believe it was.

I doubted that this reality of the universe would ever be comprehensible to the human mind. It was a chapter that dealt with some variations of experiments about wave particle duality and interference, just made no sense at all to me. I’ve reread it a couple times and remain hopelessly bewildered.

I try to think of every particle as a (probability) wave that is smeared out over a region of space. They don't exist at a single point; that's just our high level perspective trying to simplify things.

As well you shouldn't. That's a completely different consideration.

I wouldnt either, such a thing would be disastrous to the global economy, it would spell the end for airplanes, trains, ships, etc!

This is precisely why we dont see any of this 'cool' sci fi-like technology, its not because its not possible or hasnt been developed, its due to their negative impacts on the world we live, the economy, the control govts have, etc.

One of the main factors in the Invention Secrecy Act of 1951, was the technology/inventions impact on Governments ability to exert its authority, wow!!
