Please do you know of any ADHD freindly private christain schools in Montgomery county Maryland. My son is having a difficult time in his present school WCA. They do not seem to have any patience for him.

I'm sure a private school could work. However, the right medication is key. I don't believe that all children are in need of meds, but many can truly benefit. As a Special Ed. Teacher see many parents very reluctant to use medication..also, once a child is put on it, it may take a very long time to find the right dosage that makes the most difference. Be patient with your doctor, and make sure he is patient as well. There are many different medications out there, even if two different ones are necessary..in low dosages the right medication can mean the difference between success, and failure..Good Luck!
