It is a beautiful story and I commend this man for his actions. It bothers me that a grown man with children of his own would be so insensitive and rude. This will follow to his kids and on down the line unless he finally gets what he said was so wrong.

I hope this restaurant gets a real boost from this story and that their business increases 10X.

Bravo for the waiter! And for the supportive restaurant owner as well. It's good to see this story receiving international attention (I first read about it in the British press).

I was impressed with the waiter also. You find very, very few people who will stand up for someone when prejudice and/or discrimination comes to the surface. Although we have a lot of ignorant parents and other family members, anymore with inclusion, the children in the family aren't ignorant and you just have to wonder if this wasn't more humiliating for the children of the offender than anyone else involved.

As a mom of a child w/ Down Syndrome, whom I wouldnt trade for anything, this story brought tears to my eyes. I wish there were more people to defend our kiddos.
