I live in FL and am trying to find out what all therapuetic day programs and residential treatment programs exist in FL for my 10 year old. It seems difficult to gather this info, does anyone know of any info on this matter for FL or HOW you would go about finding it out?? Thank you for any help!

Is your child currently in any therapies? Those professionals should have that information or should be able to point you in the right direction. We ended up hiring an educational consultant whose job is to find the appropriate school for your child. They looked at our daughter's school reports and testing, interviewed us and her and made a recommendation of schools based on that. Not cheap, but it's hard to know where to go. We're in Virginia, by the way.

Your state's education department website should have a list of non-public schools, including therapeutic ones, in which its school system places children. From that list, each school will hopefully have its own website. You may need to do some Google searching to get the information you need. Idrive's advice is very good -- I did the same for my child, in Maryland.
