I saw the previews of a Sundance movie called "Adam" and I am extremely interested in seeing it. The main character is a man with Asperger's. My son has AS and even on some of the preview moments I said to myself, Wow that's just like him! I was wondering if anyone saw it yet and if it is realistic (as far as a movie can be realistic)

I haven't seen the movie, but I am looking forward to seeing this movie and I hope that it is fairly realistic. I think it's only showing in a couple of cities right now, but will have a wider release by 8/28. I hope someone on here has seen it and can offer us their opinion! Some of the stuff in the previews looked very familiar to what I see with my husband and 3 sons that have AS.

My sister mentioned it to me yesterday. My son has mild AS so it sounds interesting.

OMG, I wish Hollywood would find another Disorder of the Week. I'm soooo tired of seeing people on the spectrum all over the television. I hope this portrayal is better than the rest, because with a few exceptions, most are pretty dreadful.
