Which way is the ideal directiona home should face in Spokane? North, East, South, West? (house)

We are searching for a home to raise our child in and wondering which direction is it ideal for a home in Spokane to face. I've never lived in this climate before with the snow and four seasons. We also like to bbq in the evening in our backyard so a bright glaring sunlit yard in the evening would not be good. Can someone give me advice which direction my house should face North, South, East or West? It's so confusing

I have had people say they prefer a southern exposure, but I'm not sure if they prefer that at the front of the house or the back deck/patio area. I would say in the winter, it's good to have the sun hit your driveway to melt the snow more easily. A lot of people like to plant gardens, so they want a southern/western exposure on whatever area they plan on planting. You might want to consider which side of the house the bedrooms are on, too, if you don't want a lot of sunshine coming through too early in the morning. I probably just made things more complicated for you!
