Rose - where from in FL? That's where I lived before moving to Spokane, too - from the Central FL area. There are a few guitar & music stores here, but I have no idea what employment prospects would be...Guitar Center on Division, Marks' Guitar Shop on Garland, Dutch's on Main St. downtown, Hoffman Music on Monroe. There are many medical opportunities here, too - have you checked the Spokesman Review newspaper classifieds?
Spokane is pretty well known as a family friendly area, so you won't have any problem finding a neighborhood with other children, parks & playgrounds, etc. Send me a PM or email if you want phone numbers for the guitar shops.
