Default Relocating from Tacoma to Spokane

Where are the best area's to raise a family in Spokane. How cold is it in the winter and how snow sticks to the ground. Do you have to shovel your driveway often. How is the crime there and what area's are bad to stay away from. Are the utilites, electricity, and cable expensive there. How is teh job market there for Finance- Banking. I heard the healthcare and schols are great there. Thank you.

Hi - the best areas in Spokane tend to be more on the out lying edes of town. A lot depends on how much you want to spend and where you might be working vs. how long of a drive you want daily. Crime here is not as bad as bigger cities, but there is a meth problem, car thefts, some burglary - it really depends on the area. I have a list of websites that I can send to you if you want that give LOTS of information about Spokane. Banking jobs are pretty easy to get - and yes, there is great health care and good schools.
Winters are not as bad as you might think (and I used to live in FL!). When it snows, you get a few inches - maybe up to a foot max and then after a few days the temp rises and things start to melt. This goes off and on over the winter, so you don't usually have huge accumulations of snow. By February, you will be ready for it all to be over and then spring hits and the bulbs start blooming and you realize why you moved to Spokane! It's a beautiful city with a lot of great activities to do that you don't have to pay for!
