Could you give input on which 4 wheel drive performs the best on snowy days in Spokane? Move to Spokane this summer. Plan for the winter.

Any of the Subarus do very well on snow and ice. One of the most popular cars in the northwest.

We've usually had 4WD pickups and SUV's with studded snow tires and got our first Subaru Outback a few years ago. We live near Priest Lake (a lot more snow than Spokane) and it handles beautifully in snow even without studded tires.

Default alternative to suburas

can anyone recommend alternative all wheel drive SUVs? Suburas are small to our need and seem outdated in transmission. Thanks.
