Avoid Division Street, buffet restaurants, and Walmart. Stick to the south hill beyond 14th avenue, Trader Joe's, Huckleberry's, and the Centennial Trail. That's where we sleek, law-abiding, tweak-free citizens congregate.

It's all about Gore-Tex, Trex, and Spandex.

Following Spokane News on FB has opened my eyes a bit on the crime issue. I didn't think we were far above average, but when they post about a guy getting shot, then the shooter actually gets on there to argue about why he shot the guy...It's an unwelcome wake-up call of "seriously Spokane?".

Don't forget Starbucks and Labradoodles. Went to the Turkey Trot up at Manito Park on Thanksgiving. The amount of White SUV driving MILF's with Starbucks and Labradoodles was...amazing in their sameness.

I do, too. I just didn't wamt anyone thinking I hang around schoolyards. So I upped the specificity level.

David, how are you these days? Any snow down that way? I remember taking Army basic training at Ft. Carson in Colorado Springs. Liked to freeze my philtrum off.

I'm mostly okay, thanks for asking.

This is the mildest winter I've ever seen up to December 4. We had some decent snow/cold some time in the vicinity of Veterans Day, but only little wimpy dustings since, and not very many of them. The last two weeks it's been like spring, I'm sure you would love it.

Thinking of moving to Spokane and taking a job at a call center if I get an offer. The job is right downtown and from what I have heard here is that is a place to stay away from. Is there a place that is not too far away with a decent place to live that is not expensive? Would someone be able to get around without a car there ?
