Many of us only "lived" there while attending WSU. And I finished my degree at a satellite campus so I cannot be of much help on the Pullman aspects. Hopefully someone else will chime in with their experiences.

This is as good a place as any to talk about Pullman.

I live in Pullman, what do you want to know? I was here from 2000-2004 as an undergrad student, and from 2008-present as a non-student.

You can ask about Pullman here or in the main forum. Many of us lived there at one time.

For me, at least, it's been a while...

Thanks for your responses. They are appreciated. Here is my plan:

Im drawn to St Gertrudes monastery for spiritual sustenance. Im 63. However, I may want to work on a Phd and the Pullman Moscow area offer two universities. The idea would be to commute to Cottonwood Id maybe once or twice a month for retreats , and live in either Pullman or Moscow. I have not been to either city.

I will visit them this Monday and I will probably have some questions for the forum then.

I really appreciate Nature. Im a mountaineer on the Seattle side, now. As long as I can fish and hike in a relatively convenient way, I will be happy.

One other consideration was to keep a little office up in Spokane, which looks like a 1.5 hour drive for new business. I really do not need new business, but it is always helpful.

Thanks again

There's a lot of good information on Pullman vs Moscow on the Idaho forum as well. I'd do a search for Moscow and see what comes up. Generally speaking, it seems that most people prefer to live in Moscow as opposed to Pullman, but visiting for yourself is definitely the best route.
