Any suggestions on places to stay while exploring the area? Tent is not an option on this trip.

Dear Small and solar, There are not many hotel options up here in our area. There is a Comfort Suites Hotel located on 395 on the other side of Colville towards Kettle falls.. otherwise you will find 2 small motels in Colville, and in Kettle I'm not to sure. You may find some hotels down in Chewelah or even Deer Park if you are coming up from Spokane. Good luck!

You may want to check the vacation rentals section of Craigslist (Spokane), and see if anyone has a cabin for rent. I always find those things more fun to stay in than hotels anyway.

I stayed at Benny's Colville Inn last year, While it's not the Ritz Carlton, the accomodations were a nice and a good value. Plus it's walking distance to all the restaraunts and such. Right on the main drag in town.
