The #1 Bulldogs fought off a semi-tough Saint Mary's tonight and are well positioned for a #1 seed in the Big Dance. Of course Gonzaga, despite their success has never made a final 4. Will this be the year? I think so.

Gonzaga's never been to a Final Four? Wow, I would've guessed yes. They are so successful overall. What's their record this year? They're number 1 in the west region?

Undefeated, and ranked #1 in the country. No other NCAA division 1 can say the same. Their best post season performance was two seasons ago when they made the elite 8, but were not able to win in that round.

I've never been a huge basketball fan, but I am a huge Gonzaga fan. I don't see anyone in their conference having a chance this year. They are almost a lock for a #1 seed unless they really choke in these last few games.

They'll "coug it" come 2nd round this year.

I had ta Google it just to be sure - and, sure enough, Gonzaga is number 1 in the nation. I have followed college basketball for a long time and I, too, like the poster above, have a hard time believing that Gonzaga will be able to win the national championship.

And they land a number one seed in March Madness. Predictors are negative, and they have history on their side, as Gonzaga has never advanced past the elite 8. Could this year be different?

I live in Kansas City now, and my patients have those "Rock, Chalk Jayhawk" shirts on - as could be expected, lots of University of Kansas fans over here. I'm gonna hone in on the Final Four for sure. Let the games begin!
