Default Question about another area of Spokane

I am looking at a rental on Magnolia and Broad. Is this a good area? Bad? Any input would be great. Of course the landlords tell you its a wonderful area but you really never know until you've lived there a few months.

I saw that it's somewhat close to the Hillyard area, not sure how far away?

Thanks in advance!!

It really depends on what you consider a good area and a bad area. I would definately use Google's streetview feature to take a virtual 'drive' around the neighborhood. In my personal opinion I would be cautious about renting in that area. I don't know the area in enough detail to say one way or another for sure (neighborhoods can really change in the span of a few blocks) but I wouldn't blindly sign a lease. Good luck.

Thanks Kena!

I noticed the Google's streetview pictures are no longer working. Has anyone else noticed this?

It seemed to work for me yesterday (and today). I looked at that intersection/block and it actually didn't look bad. Of course, I didn't spend too much time looking but I had to satisfy my curiosity.

Thanks!

Ok just figured out the Google thing. Before it would bring up the street when you clicked on it but now you have to go to streetview..

Ya I passed on that rental, it smelled of smoke and I didn't care for the area. Shadle is a nicer area.
