2 weeks old "new" car. Someone brushed the lower bumper and wheel. To do that kind of damage you have to have IQ of less than 60 and driving skill of an ape.

Before that, as far as I can remember, every single new/newer car we ever owned got bumped into, scratched or dinged. All of them but one. The one that got away was only owned for 2 years and it was tiny. I even had one stoned POS open the door into my car as I was watching her. She parked too close in a trashed POS like herself, and I got that bad feeling, I reached for keyes to reparked further.... too slow... and yes before my very eyes, she f-ing slammed her door into my car. Zero situational awareness. I wish this happened in a less civilized country where common sense prevails over idiotic laws. She'd never do it again. But alas, we live in a civilized country where all bad deeds get unpunished, or even rewarded. You can just watch helplessly.

Anyway, too much inbred intoxicated white trash in this town. Way too much. Park a mile away or just accept the fact that you car will be damaged at some point, sooner or later.

Sorry, dude. I had a similar experience years ago. I had just parked my new car outside the southside auto registration office, went inside and got my tabs, and came back outside to discover that someone had dinged my car. Hadn’t even put on the tabs, and already bound for the body shop. Infuriating.

A garage helps.

At shops, park out in "New Car Territory" (way out at the end of the lot), although that doesn't always work. I had a bumper really badly smashed with my car parked way out away from all the other cars, with no one parked anywhere near it..

Seriously. Happens a lot.

It’s a sort of perverse herd instinct. Vehicles driven by imbeciles seek nice cars to cuddle up next to. Nice and tight.

Sorry to hear this. Yes, I'm one of those who parks out in the boondocks of every parking lot and I don't give a crap what anyone else thinks. I also look for spots between pillars so anyone with the extra stupid gene is less likely to hit my sides and hit their own cars against the pillars.

As far as I'm concerned, everyone drives like an ape except me.

That explains the people I’ve seen in Hillyard driving with their feet.
