Default Relocating 2 Medical Lake or Cheney

We are relocating 2 either Medical Lake or Cheney, and not knowing about either location, except that they are near the AFB. Would appreciate any information of facts or opinions of people that live in one of these locations or have lived here the pro's and con's...of the area. Is one location better than the other? Understanding both are somewhat near each other. We will like Spokane for many reasons, one being they normally have the 4 seasons...unlike some other locations in the nation..., plenty of lakes for boating....

Anywhere in that area is nice, kinda odd but being a Vette dude to I for some reason alway have bad luck whenever I drive mine through Cheney (college town). I have had alot of luck buying them in Cheney.
As far as boating goes I've always associated the lakes in that area as fishing lakes. I imagine there is plenty of good water for wake boarding, skiing, and such

I've lived in Cheney for the last two years for school. The area is all right, but you will find yourself driving to Spokane several times a week to do anything worth while. This town lacks things to do. Also, the town gets quite noisy at night (all night and morning!) as large freight trains pass through about every half hour.

After some extensive research, we have decided to not go to either location...also seems alot of the newer homes in these areas are placed in like "cookie cutters" except the color is alittle different shade and they are very close to one another, no thanks...been there done that years ago...

Looking at Spokane valley as a possibility....

It seems like most of the new housing we've seen is like that--especially the postage stamp size lots with hardly room for a swingset. We looked mostly in Greenacres. I seem to remember Turtle Creek was nice, but unfortunately above our price range and not the style of home we need. The lots still weren't that big, but the houses seemed to have a bit more character. :~) D
